A Collection contains a number of Things and sub-Collections that represent physical or virtual entities in an IoT system.

The Padi.io Home Page contains Collections created by various Teams and team members.

Each Thing in a Padi Collection represents a user interface into the physical device (such as equipment controller, gateways, and automation system), or virtual services in the cloud (such as analytics, computerized management systems, and web applications). The desired user interface is displayed in the Padi portal for the user. The page below shows example analytics charts displayed on a Padi page.

Users can share any Collection or Thing in Padi with other Padi users. Sharing a Thing allows other users to collaborate around that Thing, this can be with co-workers, clients, suppliers or partners.

An important part of Padi is that each page that represents a Thing provides a place in Padi where users can collaborate with each other, specifically about the Thing in context. This collaboration can be used to resolve problems, inform users of issues, or any other situation where multiple users need to communicate about something specific, represented by a Padi Thing page.

Padi collaboration allows users to seek assistance from colleagues and vendors, as well as with clients, service providers and other users. Padi's powerful and smart Notification system will ensure that users are alerted to all new posts and alerts from other users.

Sign-in to Padi today for free to explore this incredibly powerful tool to manage your Things in the IoT world.
